Karachi Building and Town Planning Regulations, 2002

The Karachi Building & Town Planning Regulations, 2002 were formulated under the Sindh Building Control Ordinance, 1979 with the objective of regulating building construction and urban development within Karachi. These regulations serve as a comprehensive legal framework governing land use, building design, structural safety, environmental sustainability, zoning, and town planning to ensure organized and planned urban growth in the city.

The regulations are enforced by the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and are applicable to all residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and recreational developments within Karachi.
